Honor Flight CAK Board Members
Valerie Street Kinney, Executive Director, 330.413.3224
Valerie is a teacher of the multiple disabilities at Faircrest Memorial Middle School (Canton Local Schools). In 1991, she started the first Veteran Days Celebration, which has became a tradition at the school. It serves 400 veterans and guests annually. She was recognized for her continued dedication to veterans in 2004-05 when she received the VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award for Grades 6-8.
Annette Davis, Treasurer and Donations, 330.413.3226
Annette is a paraprofessional at Faircrest Memorial Middle School. She serves as assist. chair/treasurer for the Veterans Day Celebrations held annually at the school. Her certification is in business and accounting. She is treasurer for the Canton Local Classified Union and McKinley Museum Stamp Club.
Wally Davis, Secretary
Wally has been employed by the Timken Company for the last 35 years as a supervisor. He is the son of a WWII navy veteran who never had the opportunity to see his memorial. He wants others to get this opportunity. Wally is the husband of Annette, and has also assisted with the Veterans Day Celebrations held annually at Canton Local Schools.
Harry Donovan
Harry is a World War II Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific. During that time he made seven invasions. Harry has been very active with many Veteran groups and was honored to visit the World War II Memorial on the first flight out of Akron. He has been a CPA and business consultant for over 50 years.
Tom Hutchison
Tom is an Akron native residing in Eastern Kentucky where he and a brother own and operate several McDonald’s restaurants. Although he never served in the military, Tom’s pride and passion for his family, country and hometown roots led him to serve as an active Board member of Honor Flight CAK. He is a proud son of a WWII veteran and a true “Rosie the Riveter,” as well as a one brother who served in Vietnam and two who served in the National Guard.
